With the win, Umatilla improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Vikings travel to Irrigon (Irrigon, OR) to meet the Knights in a non-league contest on Thursday, September 4. The Knights enter the contest with a record of 1-0.
Next, the Grizzlies meet the Wallowa Cougars (Wallowa, OR) in a 1A Old Oregon battle, on Tuesday, September 2. Griswold will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Cougars go into the battle with a 0-2 record after their 3-0 league loss to Pilot Rock (Pilot Rock, OR).
