Elkins Tigers (Elkins, WV) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), 3-2 in a league challenge.

Next, the Tigers confront the Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 3. Elkins will attempt to better on its 3-0 season record. The Huskies enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Lewis County (Weston, WV).

The Knights now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buckhannon-Upshur for a Big Ten challenge on Thursday, September 1. Preston will confront a Buccaneers team coming off a 3-0 league win over Lincoln (Shinnston, WV). The Buccaneers record now stands at 1-3.
