The Academy of the New Church Lions football team (Bryn Athyn, PA), was topped 18-10 in Friday's non-league bout with the visiting Holy Cross Lancers (Delran, NJ)

With the win, Holy Cross advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Lancers host Wildwood (Wildwood, NJ) to encounter the Warriors in a West Jersey - United bout on Friday, September 6. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

The Lions now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Wyomissing for a non-league bout on Friday, September 6. Academy of the New Church will encounter a Spartans team coming off a 20-3 non-league loss to Haverford School (Haverford, PA). The Spartans record now stands at 1-2.
