Carter Green Hornets (Strawberry Plains, TN) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Austin-East Roadrunners (Knoxville, TN), 47-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Carter advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Green Hornets host Gatlinburg-Pittman (Gatlinburg, TN) to play the Highlanders in a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. The Highlanders go into the battle with a record of 2-0. Gatlinburg-Pittman won 42-15 in their recent non-league battle against Cocke County (Newport, TN)

The Roadrunners now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host South-Doyle for a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. Austin-East will play a Cherokees team coming off a 32-2 non-league loss to Heritage (Maryville, TN). The Cherokees record now stands at 0-2.
