Avon Eagles (Avon, OH) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting McKinley Bulldogs (Canton, OH), 21-14 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Avon advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Eagles host Glenville (Cleveland, OH) to play the Tarblooders in a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. The Tarblooders go into the battle with a record of 1-1. Glenville lost 24-13 in their recent non-league battle against Olentangy Liberty (Powell, OH)

The Bulldogs now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Cass Tech for a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. McKinley will play a Technicians team coming off a 30-23 non-league loss to Rockford (Rockford, MI). The Technicians record now stands at 0-1.
