The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Covington Chargers (Covington, TN) and the host Brighton Cardinals (Brighton, TN), witnessed Covington's football squad wallop Brighton by a tally of 36-0.

The Chargers (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Dyersburg (Dyersburg, TN). The Trojans enter the 3A Region 7 contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Dyersburg crushed Lake County (Tiptonville, TN), 48-6, in a non-league contest.
