Pennsylvania High School Football - Central Columbia thwarted by Mount Carmel

August 30, 2024: Mount Carmel, PA 17851

Mount Carmel RED TORNADOES (Mount Carmel, PA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Central Columbia Bluejays (Bloomsburg, PA), 43-16 in a league battle.

With the win, Mount Carmel improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The RED TORNADOES travel to Mifflinburg (Mifflinburg, PA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. The Wildcats go into the battle with a record of 0-2. Mifflinburg lost 54-8 in their recent league battle against Danville (Danville, PA)

The Bluejays now have a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Executive Education Academy Charter School for a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. Central Columbia will play a Raptors team coming off a 22-18 non-league loss to Berks Catholic (Reading, PA). The Raptors record now stands at 1-1.
