Alaska High School Football - Service sneaks past Chugiak
August 30, 2024: Anchorage, AK 99507 The Service Cougars football squad scored 6 points and limited the visiting Chugiak Mustangs to 3 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.
The Cougars now hold a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bettye Davis East Anchorage for a Cook Inlet test on Saturday, September 7. Service will meet a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 49-21 non-league loss to Central (Fresno, CA). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 2-1.
With the defeat, Chugiak drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Kenai Central (Kenai, AK) to meet the Kardinals in a non-league test on Saturday, September 7. The Kardinals come into the test with a record of 1-2. Kenai Central lost 41-12 in their recent non-league test against Yreka (Yreka, CA)
