August 30, 2024: Ridgewood, NJ 07450 The Ridgewood Maroons football squad scored 35 points and limited the visiting Clifton Mustangs to 0 in the Maroons non-league triumph on Friday.
The Maroons now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Montclair for a non-league test on Saturday, September 7. Ridgewood will meet a Mounties squad coming off a 21-0 non-league loss to Winslow Township (Atco, NJ). The Mounties record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Clifton drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Eastside (Paterson, NJ) to meet the Ghosts in a Super - Freedom Blue test on Friday, September 6. The Ghosts come into the test with a record of 0-1. Eastside lost 36-7 in their recent non-league test against Morristown (Morristown, NJ)
