August 30, 2024: Colfax, IA 50054 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Wayne Falcons (Corydon, IA) and the host Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks (Colfax, IA), witnessed Wayne's football squad knock off Colfax-Mingo by a tally of 26-7.
The Falcons (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Mount Ayr (Mount Ayr, IA). The Raiders enter the A District 6 contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Mount Ayr gained a win over Nodaway Valley (Greenfield, IA), 58-6, in a non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Tigerhawks battle the Grand View Christian Thunder (Des Moines, IA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 6. Colfax-Mingo will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Thunder enter the contest with a 1-0 record after their 38-7 non-league win over Martensdale-St. Mary's (Martensdale, IA).
