August 30, 2024: Woodbridge, VA 22191 The Coolidge Colts football squad scored 2 points and limited the host Freedom Eagles to 0 in the Colts non-league triumph on Friday.
The Colts now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Archbishop Carroll for a non-league test on Saturday, September 7. Coolidge will meet a Lions squad coming off a 43-20 non-league loss to Dunbar (Washington, DC). The Lions record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Freedom drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host Varina (Richmond, VA) to meet the Blue Devils in a non-league test on Friday, September 6. The Blue Devils come into the test with a record of 0-1. Varina lost 37-31 in their recent non-league test against Indian River (Chesapeake, VA)
