August 30, 2024: Blountville, TN 37617 West Ridge Wolves (Blountville, TN) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Daniel Boone Trailblazers (Gray, TN), 42-7 in a non-league battle.
With the win, West Ridge advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Wolves travel to Dobyns-Bennett (Kingsport, TN) to play the Indians in a 6A Region 1 battle on Friday, September 6. The Indians go into the battle with a record of 1-1. Dobyns-Bennett lost 35-0 in their recent non-league battle against Greeneville (Greeneville, TN)
The Trailblazers now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to David Crockett for a 5A Region 1 battle on Friday, September 6. Daniel Boone will play a Pioneers team coming off a 35-21 non-league loss to Cherokee (Rogersville, TN). The Pioneers record now stands at 1-1.
