The Sycamore Spartans (Sycamore, IL) football tipped the host DeKalb Barbs (DeKalb, IL), 35-28 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Spartans now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Oswego East for a non-league outing on Friday, September 6. Sycamore will clash with a Wolves squad coming off a 14-0 non-league loss to Waubonsie Valley (Aurora, IL). The Wolves record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, DeKalb drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Barbs travel to Plainfield South (Plainfield, IL) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league outing on Friday, September 6. The Cougars come into the outing with a record of 1-0. Plainfield South won 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Yorkville (Yorkville, IL)
