In Friday's non-league game, the Willow Canyon Wildcats (Surprise, AZ) football team overcame the visiting Desert View Jaguars (Tucson, AZ), by a tally of 48-35.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the South Mountain Jaguars (Phoenix, AZ) in a non-league game, on Thursday, September 5. Willow Canyon will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Jaguars enter the game with a 0-1 record after their 50-20 non-league loss to Tucson High Magnet School (Tucson, AZ).

The Jaguars (0-1) will now prepare for their game against North (Phoenix, AZ). The Mustangs enter the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, North was toppled by ALA - Gilbert North (Gilbert, AZ), 51-7, in a non-league game.
