The Erie Royals football squad scored 56 points and limited the host Shaw Cardinals to 6 in the Royals non-league triumph on Friday.

The Royals now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake Catholic for a non-league test on Saturday, September 7. Erie will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 33-7 league win over Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (Cuyahoga Falls, OH). The Cougars record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Shaw drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Columbian (Tiffin, OH) to meet the Tornadoes in a non-league test on Friday, September 6. The Tornadoes come into the test with a record of 1-1. Columbian lost 42-0 in their recent non-league test against Chardon (Chardon, OH)
