August 30, 2024: Gustine, TX 76455 Gustine Tigers (Gustine, TX) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Paint Creek Pirates (Haskell, TX), 58-30 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Gustine advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Tigers travel to Buckholts (Buckholts, TX) to play the Badgers in a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. The Badgers go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Buckholts lost 62-7 in their recent non-league battle against Texas School for the Deaf (Austin, TX)
The Pirates now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Moran for a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. Paint Creek will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 55-16 non-league win over Lueders-Avoca (Avoca, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-0.
