August 30, 2024: Lindside, WV 24951 The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights (Wheeling, WV) and the host James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV), witnessed Wheeling Central Catholic's football squad knock off James Monroe by a tally of 28-6.
The Maroon Knights (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Fort Frye (Beverly, OH). The Cadets enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Fort Frye gained a win over Belpre (Belpre, OH), 72-6, in a non-league contest.
