In Friday's non-league game, the McLean Highlanders (McLean, VA) football team overcame the visiting Meridian Mustangs (Falls Church, VA), by a tally of 33-13.

In their next game, the Highlanders battle the Lewis Lancers (Springfield, VA) in a non-league game, on Friday, September 6. McLean will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Lancers enter the game with a 1-0 record after their 20-0 non-league win over Park View (Sterling, VA).
