West Virginia High School Football - Van can't hold off Meadow Bridge
August 30, 2024: Van, WV 25206 Meadow Bridge Wildcats (Meadow Bridge, WV) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Van Bulldogs (Van, WV), 2-0 in a league battle.
With the win, Meadow Bridge improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Wildcats host Pocahontas County (Dunmore, WV) to play the Warriors in a Coalfield A battle on Friday, September 6. The Warriors go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Pocahontas County lost 54-6 in their recent non-league battle against Tucker County (Hambleton, WV)
The Bulldogs now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Webster County for a non-league battle on Friday, September 6. Van will play a Highlanders team coming off a 49-8 non-league win over Richwood (Richwood, WV). The Highlanders record now stands at 1-0.
