The Oakland Christian Lancers were victorious over the visiting Merritt Academy Mustangs football team by a score of 41-14 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Lancers face the Mayville Wildcats (Mayville, MI) in a Big Thumb - Blue (8 Man) challenge, on Friday, September 6. Oakland Christian will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 62-6 non-league win over Carsonville-Port Sanilac (Carsonville, MI).

The Mustangs (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Peck (Peck, MI). The Pirates enter the Big Thumb - Red (8 Man) challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Peck lost by Brown City (Brown City, MI), 50-0, in a non-league challenge.
