In Friday's non-league match, the host Sylacauga Aggies football squad scored a good 15-7 triumph over the Montevallo Bulldogs.

The Aggies (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Holtville (Deatsville, AL). The Bulldogs come into the 5A Region 4 match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Holtville was beaten by Shelby County (Columbiana, AL), 31-14, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Bulldogs confront the Northside Rams (Northport, AL) in a 5A Region 3 match, on Friday, September 6. Montevallo will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Rams come into the match with a 2-0 record after their 21-7 non-league win over Cordova (Cordova, AL).
