The Murrah Mustangs football squad scored 35 points and limited the host Port Gibson Blue Waves to 6 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Callaway for a non-league test on Friday, September 6. Murrah will meet a Chargers squad coming off a 39-0 non-league win over Provine (Jackson, MS). The Chargers record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Port Gibson drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Blue waves travel to Jim Hill (Jackson, MS) to meet the Tigers in a non-league test on Friday, September 6. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 0-1. Jim Hill lost 39-0 in their recent non-league test against McComb (McComb, MS)
