August 30, 2024: Alva, OK 73717 Alva Goldbugs (Alva, OK) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Hennessey Eagles (Hennessey, OK), 14-0 in a league game.
With the triumph, Alva upgrades its record to 12-5 on the year. The Goldbugs host Tonkawa (Tonkawa, OK) to play the Buccaneers in a non-league game on Friday, August 30. The Buccaneers enter the game with a record of 9-6. Tonkawa lost 4-3 in their recent non-league game against Blackwell (Blackwell, OK)
The Eagles now own a 6-10 record. They play next when they travel to Pioneer-Pleasant Vale for a non-league game on Saturday, August 31. Hennessey will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Kingfisher (Kingfisher, OK). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-8.
