August 30, 2025: Kapaau, HI 96755 The Kohala Cowboys football team (Kapaau, HI), was tipped 36-29 in Saturday's non-league bout with the visiting Kealakehe Waveriders (Kailua-Kona, HI)
With the win, Kealakehe advances its record to 1-3 on the season. The Waveriders host Hawaii Prep (Kamuela, HI) to encounter the Ka Makani in a non-league bout on Friday, September 5. The Ka Makani go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Hawaii Prep lost 51-0 in their recent league contest against Honoka'a (Honoka'a, HI)
Coming up next, the Cowboys battle the Waiakea Warriors (Hilo, HI) in a Big Island I contest, on Saturday, September 6. Kohala will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Warriors enter the contest with a 1-2 record after their 34-24 league win over Pahoa (Pahoa, HI).
