Maryland High School Football - Mount St. Joseph holds off Mt. Zion Prep Academy
August 30, 2025: Baltimore, MD 21229 The Mount St. Joseph Gaels (Baltimore, MD) football tipped the visiting Mt. Zion Prep Academy Warriors (Lanham, MD), 14-7 in Saturday's non-league outing.
The Gaels now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host St. Mary's Ryken for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 6. Mount St. Joseph will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 42-28 non-league win over Severn School (Severna Park, MD). The Knights record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, Mt. Zion Prep Academy drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to St. Francis (Wheaton, IL) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 6. The Spartans come into the outing with a record of 1-0. St. Francis won 38-34 in their recent non-league outing against Kenwood (Chicago, IL)
