The Redbirds now hold a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Washington for a Mid-Illini bout on Tuesday, September 2. Metamora will face a Panthers team coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Geneseo (Geneseo, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 2-0.
The Panthers (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Herscher (Herscher, IL). The Tigers enter the Illinois Central Eight contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Herscher held off Watseka (Watseka, IL), 10-0, in a non-league contest.
