South Ripley Raiders (Versailles, IN) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer squad nudge the host Union County Patriots (Liberty, IN), 2-1 in a non-league bout.

The Raiders now possess a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Switzerland County for a Ohio River Valley bout on Tuesday, September 2. South Ripley will play a Pacers squad coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Silver Creek (Sellersburg, IN). The Pacers record now stands at 5-1.

With the loss, Union County moves to 1-4 on the year. The Patriots travel to Connersville (Connersville, IN) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 2.
