Athens Warriors (Athens, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Athens improves its record to 6-1 on the season. The Warriors travel to Macomb (Macomb, IL) to face the Bombers in a non-league test on Saturday, August 30. The Bombers go into the test with a record of 0-1. Macomb lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL)
