The Ball Tornadoes nudged the host Porter Spartans volleyball team by a margin of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league outing.

The Tornadoes now possess a 12-10 record. They play next when they travel to Pasadena Memorial for a non-league outing on Saturday, August 30. Ball will play a Mavericks team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Ball (Galveston, TX). The Mavericks record now stands at 9-10.

With the loss, Porter drops to 12-7 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Benjamin Davis (Houston, TX) to play the Falcons in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 2.
