Ponte Vedra Sharks (Ponte Vedra, FL) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the visiting Boca Raton Christian Blazers (Boca Raton, FL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Sharks (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Beachside (St. Johns, FL). The Barracudas come into the 5A District 4 challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Beachside edged New Smyrna Beach (New Smyrna Beach, FL), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Blazers meet the Pine Crest Panthers (Fort Lauderdale, FL) in a non-league test, on Saturday, August 30. Boca Raton Christian will attempt to advance on its 3-4 season record. The Panthers go into the test with a 3-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Houston (Germantown, TN).
