Caney Creek Panthers (Conroe, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host Shepherd Pirates (Shepherd, TX), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Caney Creek improves its record to 9-15 on the season. The Panthers travel to The Woodlands (The Woodlands, TX) to face the Highlanders in a 6A Region II District 13 test on Tuesday, September 2. The Highlanders go into the test with a record of 7-10. The Woodlands lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Prestonwood Christian (Plano, TX)

The Pirates now own a 3-7 record. They play next when they host Colmesneil for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 2. Shepherd will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Corrigan-Camden (Corrigan, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-9.
