Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Cuero Gobblers (Cuero, TX) and the host Freer Buckaroos (Freer, TX), observed Cuero's volleyball team hold off Freer by a count of 2-1.

The Gobblers (16-12) will now prepare for their contest against Pace (Brownsville, TX). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 17-3 record. In their last contest, Pace tipped Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (Pharr, TX), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
