Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Odyssey Institute Minotaur (Buckeye, AZ) and the host West Point Dragons (Avondale, AZ), observed Odyssey Institute's volleyball team top West Point by a count of 2-0.

The Minotaur (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Valley Vista (Surprise, AZ). The Monsoon enter the non-league battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Valley Vista dropped by Red Mountain (Mesa, AZ), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Dragons now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Williams Field for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 2. West Point will encounter a Black Hawks squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Mountain View (Mesa, AZ). The Black Hawks record now stands at 1-0.
