The Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds (Mosca, CO) volleyball held off the host Walsenburg Panthers (Walsenburg, CO), 2-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Thunderbirds now possess a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Mountain Valley for a non-league contest on Friday, September 5. Sangre de Cristo will battle a Wolves team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Sierra Grande (Blanca, CO). The Wolves record now stands at 0-5.

Next, the Panthers battle the Ellicott Thunderhawks (Calhan, CO) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, August 30. Walsenburg will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record.
