Chaparral Wolverines (Parker, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Cherokee Trail Cougar (Aurora, CO), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Wolverines now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they host Arvada West for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, September 1. Chaparral will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Golden (Golden, CO). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-2.

With the loss, Cherokee Trail falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Cougar travel to Rock Canyon (Highlands Ranch, CO) to battle the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 2. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 5-4. Rock Canyon won 8-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Wheat Ridge (Wheat Ridge, CO)
