August 31, 2023: Fairburn, GA 30213 In Thursday's non-league contest, the Langston Hughes Panthers (Fairburn, GA) volleyball squad were winner over the visiting Mt. Zion Bulldogs (Jonesboro, GA), by a margin of 2-0.
Next up, the Panthers battle the New Manchester Jaguar (Douglasville, GA) in a 6A Area 5 contest, on Tuesday, September 5. Langston Hughes will attempt to better on its 7-2 season record.
With the loss, Mt. Zion moves to 0-2 on the year. The Bulldogs host Miller Grove (Lithonia, GA) to battle the Wolverines in a 4A Area 6 contest on Tuesday, September 12. The Wolverines go into the contest with a record of 3-8.
