August 31, 2023: Winona, MN 55987 The Mankato East Cougars volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Winona Winhawks to 2 in the Cougars league victory on Thursday.
The Cougars now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northfield for a Big 9 game on Thursday, September 7. Mankato East will meet a Raiders team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Prior Lake (Prior Lake, MN). The Raiders record now stands at 4-0.
The Winhawks (0-3) will now prepare for their game against Wabasha-Kellogg (Wabasha, MN). The Falcons enter the non-league game with a 2-4 record. In their last game, Wabasha-Kellogg was nudged by Dover-Eyota (Eyota, MN), 3-2, in a league game.
