August 31, 2023: Gowrie, IA 50543 Newell-Fonda Mustangs (Newell, IA) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host Southeast Valley Jaguars (Gowrie, IA), 3-0 in a league match.
Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Emmetsburg E'Hawks (Emmetsburg, IA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, September 5. Newell-Fonda will attempt to advance on its 2-2 season record. The E'Hawks come into the match with a 1-2 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Cherokee Washington (Cherokee, IA).
With the loss, Southeast Valley drops to 3-5 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Sioux Central (Sioux Rapids, IA) to clash with the Rebels in a Twin Lakes match on Thursday, September 7.
