North Carolina High School Football - Independence smashes Hickory Ridge

August 31, 2024: Harrisburg, NC 28075

The Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) football trounced the host Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls (Harrisburg, NC), 45-6 in Saturday's non-league outing.

The Patriots now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Charlotte Christian for a non-league outing on Friday, September 6. Independence will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 49-7 non-league win over Cox Mill (Concord, NC). The Knights record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Hickory Ridge drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Ragin' bulls host Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC) to clash with the Pirates in a non-league outing on Friday, September 6. The Pirates come into the outing with a record of 3-0. Porter Ridge won 34-12 in their recent non-league outing against South Iredell (Statesville, NC)
