Illinois High School Flag Football - West Aurora sneaks past Freeport
August 31, 2024: Aurora, IL 60506 The West Aurora Blackhawks flag football squad scored 20 points and limited the visiting Freeport Pretzels to 16 in the Blackhawks non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Blackhawks now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Yorkville for a non-league test on Wednesday, September 4. West Aurora will meet a Foxes squad coming off a 26-8 non-league win over St. Francis (Wheaton, IL). The Foxes record now stands at 3-0.
With the defeat, Freeport drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Pretzels travel to Belvidere North (Belvidere, IL) to meet the Blue Thunder in a test on Wednesday, September 4. The Blue Thunder come into the test with a record of 0-1. Belvidere North lost 12-0 in their recent league test against Guilford (Rockford, IL)
