August 31, 2024: Gypsum, CO 81637 Eagle Valley Devils (Gypsum, CO) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Montezuma-Cortez Panthers (Cortez, CO), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Eagle Valley advances its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Devils host Summit (Frisco, CO) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 3. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 1-2. Summit lost 4-3 in their recent non-league test against Battle Mountain (Edwards, CO)
The Panthers now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pagosa Springs for a test on Tuesday, September 3. Montezuma-Cortez will clash with a Pirates team coming off a 2-2 non-league Grand Junction Central (Grand Junction, CO). The Pirates record now stands at 0-0.
