Ohio High School Soccer - Minerva toppled by Canton Central Catholic
August 31, 2024: Canton, OH 44708 Canton Central Catholic Crusaders (Canton, OH) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Minerva Lions (Minerva, OH), 6-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Canton Central Catholic moves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Rootstown (Rootstown, OH) to meet the Rovers in a non-league test on Thursday, September 5. The Rovers come into the test with a record of 4-1. Rootstown won 6-0 in their recent non-league test against Triway (Wooster, OH)
The Lions now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Branch for a Northeastern Buckeye test on Tuesday, September 3. Minerva will meet a Warriors team coming off a 7-3 non-league win over Newton Falls (Newton Falls, OH). The Warriors record now stands at 2-1.
