Maine High School Soccer - South Portland nudged by Cape Elizabeth
August 31, 2024: South Portland, ME 04106 Cape Elizabeth Capers (Cape Elizabeth, ME) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the host South Portland Red Riots (South Portland, ME), 1-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Cape Elizabeth advances its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Capers travel to Sanford (Sanford, ME) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league test on Saturday, August 31. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 0-0.
The Red Riots now have a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Massabesic for a Class A - South test on Saturday, August 31. South Portland will clash with a Mustangs team coming off a 1-1 non-league Sacopee Valley (Cornish, ME). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-0.
