August 31, 2024: South Portland, ME 04106 South Portland Red Riots (South Portland, ME) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting North Yarmouth Academy Panthers (Yarmouth, ME), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, South Portland advances its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Red Riots host Cape Elizabeth (Cape Elizabeth, ME) to clash with the Capers in a non-league test on Saturday, August 31. The Capers come into the test with a record of 0-0.
The Panthers now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sacopee Valley for a Class C - South test on Thursday, September 5. North Yarmouth Academy will clash with a Hawks team coming off a 1-1 non-league Massabesic (Waterboro, ME). The Hawks record now stands at 0-0.
