Matanzas Pirates (Palm Coast, FL) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Vanguard Knights (Ocala, FL), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Matanzas improves its record to 4-5 on the season. The Pirates travel to St. Augustine (St. Augustine, FL) to encounter the Yellow Jackets in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 3. The Yellow Jackets go into the test with a record of 1-3. St. Augustine won 3-1 in their recent league test against Menendez (St. Augustine, FL)

The Knights now own a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Belleview for a 5A District 5 test on Tuesday, September 3. Vanguard will encounter a Rattlers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Lake Weir (Ocala, FL). The Rattlers record now stands at 0-4.
