August 31, 2024: Mt. Vernon, IL 62864 The North Clay Cardinals volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Mt. Vernon Rams to 0 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cardinals now have a 3-4 record. They play next when they host Grayville for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 3. North Clay will play a Bison team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Gallatin County (Junction, IL). The Bison record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, Mt. Vernon moves to 0-4 on the season. The Rams host Carbondale (Carbondale, IL) to encounter the Terriers in a South Seven battle on Tuesday, September 3. The Terriers go into the battle with a record of 4-2. Carbondale won 2-1 in their recent non-league battle against Chester (Chester, IL)
