The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Lamar Raiders (Meridian, MS) and the host Vancleave Bulldogs (Vancleave, MS), saw Lamar's volleyball squad nip Vancleave by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Lamar upgrades its record to 5-2 on the year. The Raiders travel to Clinton (Clinton, MS) to play the Arrows in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 6. The Arrows go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Clinton lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Presbyterian Christian (Hattiesburg, MS)

The Bulldogs now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to St. Martin for a non-league bout on Monday, August 8.
