August 9, 2022: Richmond, KY 40475 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league test between the Model Patriots (Richmond, KY) and the visiting Rowan County Vikings (Morehead, KY), saw Model's soccer squad triumph over Rowan County by a count of 7-1.
The Patriots now hold a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Mercer County for a non-league test on Thursday, August 11. Model will meet a Titans squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Anderson County (Lawrenceburg, KY). The Titans record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Rowan County drops to 0-2 on the season. The Vikings host Menifee County (Frenchburg, KY) to meet the Wildcats in a District 61 test on Thursday, August 11.
