With the win, La Joya upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Coyotes travel to Edinburg (Edinburg, TX) to play the Bobcats in a 6A Region IV District 31 bout on Friday, August 11. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Edinburg won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Valley View (Pharr, TX)
The Chiefs now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North for a non-league bout on Thursday, August 10. Donna North will play a Raiders squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Weslaco East (Weslaco, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 0-1.
