In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Academy of Holy Angels Stars football squad scored a close 32-28 victory over the Hill-Murray Pioneers.

In their next game, the Stars clash with the Orono Spartans (Long Lake, MN) in a Suburban - Red match, on Friday, September 9. Academy of Holy Angels will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Spartans enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 21-18 non-league win over Robbinsdale Cooper (New Hope, MN).
